Le Grainne Cafe’ is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in New York City. First of all, the coffee is absolutely delicious and rich. They always have Soy (milk) and it arrives at your table in the perfect temperature poured into a warm traditional cup, along with a friendly smile… Many heart-to-heart talks took place on those woven chairs, many lovely breakfasts were dined at these tables and so many different friends and colleagues accompanied me to that perfect cup.
If you do wonder to Chelsea, and find your way to ‘Le Grainne Cafe’ I urge you to taste at least one thing from the menu. It’s oh so French (in the best way possible), starting from their (excellent) omlettes, through a fresh salad and all the way to that sinful ‘Tart-Tatin’… They’re also known for their crepes, however, I must admit I’ve never tried one!
Jacket by Sass & Bide, Vintage shorts & belt, Strapless top that I made myself literally ages ago, Vintage Dooney & Burke leather purse, Vintage watch & bracelet (the leather studded cuff I borrowed from my uber-chic friend Elly…) shoes from my last trip to Israel, Sunnies from Aldo.
Le Grainne Cafe is located at 183 Ninth Avenue (right on the corner of 21st street), open 8 am ’till midnight. Hope you like it as much as I do…
