Vogue’s Naked Heart {Art & Toy Auction}
I don’t know why but Christmas time always brings along sweet childhood memories, and I know we still have a couple of weeks to go but it’s already “in the air”… Back in the day, when my family was still residing in Russia, each year we would have a huge Christmas tree, incredibly (overly) decorated (a joyful side effect of hours spent around it, crafting away glitzy ornaments) and a pile of boxes all wrapped up, awaiting to be discovered… In Russia, new years eve is a great excuse to dress up, and I don’t just mean stilettos and a fur coat, but costumes. Elaborated, well ahead though out, home sewn costumes. Well, at least that’s how it played in my house… And considering the up and coming festivities I could not ignore this whimsical editorial from Vogue Russia, showcasing all the items created by Russian designers for VOGUE’s charitable auction in support of the Naked Heart Foundation, from Natalia Vodianova, which took place last night (following the Russian “glam-gang” on Instagram has it’s perks!)

BAZAAR {Style Ambassador}
I know there’s a Hurricane out there forming a storm that may very well be remembered for years to come, but hold your horses for just a moment! “Rained-In” or not it is my birthday (I know… Quite the setting…) and I do have some news to break! With that being said, I hope you all are well prepared and cozy at home, being safe and concerned mostly with the type of Popcorn you’ll be eating while watching your favorite movies… Hopefully, as far as the city goes, just like it was with Irene it will all be over with soon…
I’m sure you all noticed I went underground for a bit… Locked up in sewing rooms, drafting patterns and staring at computer screens for longer than anyone should but it all seems to be worth the trouble as I’m looking ahead at what seems to be now the near future, my graduation that is…! Now, if there’s something capable of waking me up from my tunnel-vision focus on tailoring my portfolio, Harper’s BAZAAR would be it.
I am beyond honored to announce my official association with the most CHIC magazine out there as your new Harper’s BAZAAR style ambassador.This marvelous program was initiated by Joanna Hillman, not only a street style favorite but also the senior fashion market editor at Harper’s Bazaar, incorporating bloggers and style-setters across the country into the ever-evolving network of Harper’s BAZAAR, that became much more than a magazine (have you paid a visit to the online store yet??? My oh my…That’s all I’m going to say for now). And if that’s not enough as a Birthday present, my first assignment is to cover the debut of the new Dressy Nude Collection
by Dior. The beauty workshop hosted by Macy’s across the New-York area will be held until November 3rd, so if you are as big of a fan as I am of Dior, book your appointment online TODAY (or by November 1st). I don’t know how about you, but I sure am excited…

Oh, and as a complete side note, my fascination with Miranda Kerr is on the rise, I think you can see why… This is just a peak at the editorial she shot with BAZAAR UK this past August… (found here)
Be safe!
{Dreamy Haze}
I’m sorry my web-presence is so sparse these days, but lately it has accured to me that this is my last and final year at school, and yes the pressure is on and the expectations are high (mostly between myself and I at the moment). So, as a new “game-plan” for this year I’ve decided to receive only really tempting job offers and keep my schedule (clear and) loyal to the cause of graduating on a bright note… Probably more mind-babels on the topic soon, but for tonight you’re off the hook!
Oh, and isn’t Candice is ever so lovely?

{Ride It}
A few months back I did a job modeling for an equestrian clothing company and everyone on the set were simply swooning with admiration towards the little intricacies of each garment and the use of new high-tech fibers in traditional attire… Goes without saying I was thrilled to find this editorial in last month’s Teen Vogue! (Love love love the gloves!)
All That CHIC!
Pardon my absence darlings… Still doing the adjustment for school, and wrapping my mind around the fact that this year will be my last (in college)… A lot of work awaits me this semester, at times I’m excited and sometimes somewhat terrified… Life.
But enough about that! The real question is: Are you ready for Fashion Night Out??

Furry Encounters {Instagramed}
I was browsing through a new favorite, The Telavivian, a creative web platform that gathers some of the best writers/bloggers in Tel Aviv and aspires to capture the greatness of the city. I must say that a short tour through the web-site left me impressed and on the more personal side effect, it fed into that longing for Tel-Aviv, because it truly is a special place, ever-changing and endlessly inspiring… I mean, they even have recipes! God I miss Israel sometimes… And you know what’s the best part? It’s in English, so if you have always been a tiny bit curious, read in…
The editorial above was embraced from The Fashion Blog section, I’m not sure which one I find more endearing the furry creatures Cara Delavigne is cradling or the fact this editorial was shot by Nick Knight using Instagram!
{Privileged}
In so many words, life, is what you make of it. Some are born privileged, adorned with power and showered with comfort, following a clear path… Some are gifted with a talent that will carry them through life with grace and glory… Others, have to craft their own, allegedly ‘unprivileged’ route through battles of pride, patches of hunger and supreme urge to be the exception of their breed…
Sometimes I feel lucky, sipping on a great cup of coffee or indulging a divine glass of wine, entrenched in a conversation, on the setting of one of the most wonderful cities in the world… And sometimes I feel it’s time to buckle up, as I’m in for a wild ride, holding on to life, or at least the idea of what it “should” be…
Whoever you are and wherever you may be, in the possession of the latest Celine bag or not, the wheel is turning and whether you end up at “the table” (feeding your dog in your lap…) is entirely up to you and how much you are willing invest in the journey…
And after that somewhat philosophic out lash, I hope you will too admire some old school Parisian bourgeoisy chic from the latest Vogue Paris (August 2012), staring the incredible Malgosia Bela…

Surprise Surprise (…sigh…)
Life. I’m sure it’s not the first time I start a post this way, but it really is inevitable. The past week was a lot. A lot to grasp, a lot to understand and for the grand finale’ (wait, it’s only Wednesday…!) a big chunk of bad news. Since the tale is not mine, I’ll refrain from details and leave it at a sigh… It seems to me as though in the world’s intricate maze some of us don’t get a simple path. Some, really need to fight through, strategise with despair flung aside, buckle up and fill up the water tanks for a purpose no other than survival. Thriving, when you’re just trying to keep your head up above the gushing water, is close to impossible, but I know that those who are truly built to concur will find a way.
And on a more positive note, I give you, the intoxicating Zuzanna Bijoch in the latest Numéro photographed by Sebastian Kim.
